Menopause Yoga Taster Sessions coming soon

Menopause Yoga uses the same yoga poses but in a different way and with very specific sequencing and intention.

The various different sessions are designed to alleviate certain symptoms associated with menopause.

So for example a class could be designed to reduce the rage and irritability women often experience, especially in peri-menopause when they are unaware of what is happening to them. This is aptly called “meno-rage”!

Other sequences help to deal with stress, anxiety and overwhelm, or remove sluggishness and stagnation, whilst others help to accept and embrace change, or help with the sleep issues often experienced during the different stages of menopause.

Cooling sequences and breathing techniques help to alleviate hot flashes and night sweats.

Specific sequences address bone density for healthy bones, and muscle strength , which is especially important post menopause when osteoporosis and osteopenia are higher risk factors.

All of the poses are incorporated with specific breathing techniques to help women to become more adept and self sufficient at recognising and navigating the multitude of symptoms experienced and which are often misdiagnosed and incorrectly medicated by their GP’s.

It’s also about removing the taboo around the entire subject, and allowing women to feel that they no longer have to suffer alone, or in silence.
